I live in Miami, and the idea for this website came from a need I had myself. One day, I needed some basic information about Miami International Airport, but I couldn’t find what I was looking for on the official website, either because it wasn’t there or because it was too scattered and I missed it.

At that moment, I realized there was a lack of a simple, up-to-date, and truly helpful resource on this topic.

I decided to do what I could.

I worked at the airport for 25 years, handling various roles from passenger services to operations. After retiring, I wanted a place to share all the experience I had accumulated. That’s how mia-airport.com came to be.

I am of Hispanic origin. Being able to produce content in both English and Spanish has helped this page reach a wider audience. Of course, I don’t do this alone. I have a small but strong team. One friend handles content editing, another provides translation and language review support. The three of us work together to create a reliable and straightforward resource.

Our goal is for everyone who visits this site to quickly find the information they need. We strive to provide clear information so you can travel without stress or confusion.
