Miami International Airport has several animal relief areas both inside and outside the terminal for passengers travelling with pets and service animals.
There are a total of three animal relief areas outside the terminal
North Terminal (D): Located west of the Dolphin Garage, opposite Gate 5 in the 1st Floor Baggage Claim area.
Central Terminal (F): Located west of the South Short Term Car Park, opposite Gate 15 in the 1st Floor Baggage Claim area.
South Terminal (J): Located south of the Flamingo Garage, opposite Gate 28 in the 1st Floor Baggage Claim area.
These areas are fenced and equipped with synthetic turf, fire hydrants, waste bags and sinks.
Following the security checkpoints at Miami Airport, there are four enclosed animal relief areas within the terminal. These areas are:
Terminal D: Near Gate D34
Terminal F: Near Gate F7
Terminal G: Near Gate G5
Terminal J: Behind Gate J3
These enclosed areas are equipped with synthetic turf, sprinkler system, drainage infrastructure and cleaning materials. This makes it possible for passengers to meet the needs of their pets without leaving the security control.
Passengers travelling with pets are advised to check their airline’s pet policies and TSA’s security screening procedures before flying.
