Miami International Airport has a comprehensive baggage claim system to ensure that passengers can collect their luggage in a fast and organised manner. Baggage claim areas are located on the ground floor (level 1) of the terminal. There are separate arrangements for both domestic and international flights in the baggage claim areas.

Domestic Baggage Claim
Passengers arriving from domestic flights can collect their baggage from the baggage claim bands on the ground floor of the terminal. Each airline carries out the baggage delivery process itself. Therefore, you should contact the relevant airline directly for updates regarding your baggage. Check Arrivals for flight information.
International Baggage Claim
Passengers arriving from international flights are directed to the baggage claim area after passing through passport control. After collecting their baggage, they must pass through the US Customs and Border Protection control. If they are transferring to another city within the US, they may need to check in their baggage again. You should contact your airline for exact information. See official U.S Customs and Border Protection Guidance.
