Smoking Areas – Miami International Airport (MIA)

Miami International Airport has designated smoking areas in certain areas. Smoking areas are defined by rules and are limited.

Miami Airport Smoking Areas

At Miami Airport, smoking is only permitted after the security check at TGI Friday’s Smoking Lounge in Concourse D, North Terminal. This outdoor terrace is located near Gate D36. The lounge is open from 06:00 am in the morning until 10:00 pm in the evening.

Prior to the security check, smoking is permitted in designated areas at road level outside the terminal buildings. These areas are located on the first and second floors (arrival and departure floors) opposite Concourses D, E, F, H and J. Smoking passengers must be at least 20 feet away from terminal entrances and exits.

Smoking is prohibited in the MIA, except in designated areas, and violations may result in fines of up to $500.

Electronic cigarettes (vapes) may also be used only in designated smoking areas.

Access to TGI Friday’s Smoking Lounge is only possible from Concourse D. To access this area from other terminals, it may be necessary to pass through the security control again.
